Stirling Council (SNP/Labour) has suggested that Bridge of Allan Train Station could close, to be replaced with another station further south.
They are asking for residents views on this in a survey, which can be taken here: To take part in the survey go to: https://engage.stirling.gov.uk/en-GB/projects/survey
Stirling Conservatives oppose this move, and last Saturday leafletted most of Bridge of Allan with a survey and leaflet informing people of the move, and asking for views.

Engage Stirling's website states:
"A new rail station would be within easy walking and cycling distance of Cornton and Causewayhead as well as being more convenient for many residents of Bridge of Allan and staff and pupils at Wallace High.
‘Because the new station and the existing station at Bridge of Allan would be near to each other there are two sub-options: a new rail station between Bridge of Allan, Causewayhead and Cornton keeping the Bridge of Allan station; a new station between Bridge of Allan, Causewayhead and Cornton with the closure of the Bridge of Allan station."
